KLM Curaçao Marathon 12th Edition

International full & half marathon, 10K, and 5K run/walk along Curaçao’s waterfront and across the iconic Queen Emma and Juliana bridges​. 

 

Attracts local and international runners; courses are AIMS/World Athletics certified to top standards​. Features include a Saturday 5K “Night Run” and a Sunday marathon & races, with a finish-line beach party. Registration is open online​.

Ride for the Roses Curaçao 2025

Multi-sport charity event (cycling routes of 10–60 km, open-water swim 2.7 km, 5 km walk, 5 km run) raising funds for cancer patients​. 

Thousands participate across the island to support the Prinses Wilhelmina Fonds (cancer foundation). Active since 2005, it fosters hope and awareness for those affected by cancer. Often includes bonus events like kitesurfing “Surf for the Roses.” Registration proceeds go 100% to cancer care.

Rotary “STEP Challenge” 2025

A 3-month wellness challenge hosted by Rotary District 7030 to promote physical activity and mental well-being. Participants worldwide (including Curaçao) track their daily steps via a mobile app and strive to “step” into a healthier lifestyle​. Encourages goal-setting, global camaraderie, and community health (“Service Above Self”). Open to all; free registration via Rotary’s website​.

World Clean-Up Day Curaçao

Island-wide environmental clean-up campaign as part of the global “Let’s Do It World” movement. Thousands of volunteers team up to remove litter from beaches, neighborhoods, and nature areas​. 

 

More than a clean-up, it’s a public awareness drive against pollution and littering (“Enough is enough!”)​. Curaçao Clean Up provides materials and coordinates sites; prizes are awarded to top volunteer teams (the “Clean-Up Superheroes”)​. Teams register in advance to get assigned locations and supplies.

PADI AWARE Week (Curaçao)

A week-long series of marine conservation events focusing on Curaçao’s reefs and oceans. Local dive centers organize activities like underwater clean-ups, coral reef restoration dives, and lionfish removal, aligned with PADI’s global AWARE Week​. 

Emphasizes community involvement to protect marine ecosystems crucial to the island’s environment and tourism​. Often features educational workshops on ocean sustainability.

St.Martinus University Health Fair

Free public health fair providing basic medical screenings and wellness education. Medical students and professionals offer free check-ups (blood pressure, BMI, blood sugar, etc.) to hundreds of attendees​.

Includes informational booths on preventive healthcare, healthy lifestyle demos, and sometimes flu vaccination drives. In 2024 it was hosted in partnership with the KLM Curaçao Marathon to promote health among the community and visiting runners​.

Breast Cancer Awareness Walk

An evening 5 km “Fun Walk” through downtown Willemstad to honor breast cancer fighters and spread awareness. Organized by Fundashon Sinta Ros (Curaçao’s breast cancer foundation), the walk draws families and survivors wearing pink. Proceeds (e.g. T-shirt sales at ₡18) support breast cancer research and patient support​. 

 

The event highlights the rising incidence of breast cancer (even in younger women) and promotes early detection and healthy lifestyles​. 

Location: Willemstad city center (starts and ends at Brionplein, Otrobanda)​.

Participants of all ages join to “Dia-Beat” diabetes by staying active and informed. Funds raised support diabetes education and management programs. Local service clubs (Lions, Leo) often partner in organizing and logistics​. The walk encourages the public to take charge of their health in a fun, community-oriented way.

We are proud to welcome you as a Wellness Professional Member as an organization active in one of the 11 sub sectors of the wellness sectors. Wellness organizations should be registered at the Curaçao Chamber of Commerce.

ASSOCIATE MEMBER

Monthly Fee: XCG 75,- per Month

We are proud to welcome you as an Associate Member. You are an Associate member if you are active as a professional organization outside one of the 11 sub sectors of the wellness sector. All organizations should be registered at the Curaçao Chamber of Commerce.

FREELANCE MEMBER

Monthly Fee: XCG 60,- per Month

In case you are a freelancer active within or outside one of the 11 subsectors of the Wellness sector, you can register as Professional Freelance member. A freelancer operates their business without employing contracted staff within their entity. All freelance members should be registered at the Curaçao Chamber of Commerce.
